Hi, this airboat is very fantastic, 15 hp gas engine, with polywood hull. I think I need reduce my boats weight.
I use 10hp diesel engine because in China It's very difficult to buy gas from gas stastion to fill in oil drum except to cars, we need to get a certificate from police everytime. So I use diesel instead of gas engine, it's too heavy. and the hull structure is too strong/heavy.

Do you know who is Gg kustmz? is this guy also in this forum?

If you can find a good 2 cycle engine that would be the best for a mini Airboat like the power plant out of a Ulta light Airplane

In my opinion you need to build a hull wider, longer and lighter than what you have now. Displacement footprint keeps you sitting higher in the water. As Sniper stated above, look into a Rotax 2 cylinder 2 stroke engine with a gearbox and clutch. Read the posts on this forum in the mini airboat section. The information there will save you time and money learning from the success and failures of other mini projects.
