where the heck is that fellow i notice he deleted a lot of post an is reg. as a guest dont tell me hes with cntry141 , must have missed something :(
 
i think the politics that got poofed a couple weeks ago got him, but he and his wife are good people. Bet if you called him for help he'd be there no matter when!
 
David, basket's doing fine, he surely misses all you fine folks. And you are right Rich, he would be there in a minute to help out if needed.

jeff and dawn both are good people the first people i met personaly from the site a few years back,and ive had some good times with them, and im sure there be more , i was in california a few weeks back so i didnt read much for a week or so ,dawn me an kathi will be at the show hope to see ya .
 
Jeff and Dawn are some of the Best People you can find anywhere. They both do more for this sport than most people could imagine. It is a Da@#%$** shame it has to come to this on a forum that started out so well. We have lost a few good people with a lot of knowledge over the past year or so for no good reason. Hopefully we can get back to the way it was and just enjoy airboating and fellowship of the sport.
 
Jeff and Dawn , Matt and Laura, were the first people we met from SA.
Jeff took us around and intro'd us to a lot of good people. This was the lake
Kisim cleanup. We will always remember and thank him for his time he spent with us.

but... I understand what some of it is about ... maybe it's kinda like you see some people treat their dog, you can only keep him tied for so long before you say....
What were they thinking? Reminds me of the Big guy at the lake cleanup. I'm glad I ask him about the dog tied up in that Airboat, in the sun, with no water for hours.

Jeff, if you read this, thanks for your insight and time.

I met Jeff at the KRVSA lake clean up. Seemed like a great guy. He sure put together one He!! of a display board for the Bud Marquis Fund Drive. I guess I just don't understand all the politics.
 
have not seen others post in awhile either. such as t-rex,and jdotson.where is everyone going.and i seen where jdotson has his boat up for sale.
 
i sold j dotson a pretty rank 383 hees gonna put togeather a smaller boat, hes been pretty busy with his high pressure job an some home improvement projects :roll:
 
I still lurk here once or twice a month but got bigger fish to fry than to defend posts. The SA group that I grew close too no longer exists on these forums and can only be found every once in a while on the water. I'm not putting a negative light on the current SA personality but it's just not something I feel comfortable participating in. Self promoting has become the rule around here and constructive criticism has become something of the past. In my opinion it seems that some people tend to take things too personal these days so I'd rather not make enemies and just keep to my own peace. I think Cntry said it before but I know who my friends are and look forward to seeing them when I'm out on the boat. There's still a lot of good will on this site but the BS and politics have taken it's toll. It seems to me that the mutual respect among airboaters has been lost. :argue:
 
Was thinking about ol' basketcase this morn. Anybody know how hes doing?

If there is one thing that Jeff helped remind me of is "My opinion doesn't have to be your opinion for us to be friends". I think sometimes we forget that. I'd sure like to see him come back around.
 
last time i seen him was at the faa show his boat won best in class alum car mtor boat i must admit i was jealouis i came in a distant third place just kidding, i miss baskets post they were always informative , sometimes funny and never mean spirited i wish sometimes i had his cander, the site is worse off without him & dawn they were a asset for sure .
