Missing Dog

Well I got my cage fixed and the boat up and running but while I was gone my dog got lose and I think some body picked him up....he was the best dog I've ever had. He wasn't worth a crap in the woods but he was with me for about 7yrs and I really don't know what to say. My 2yr old kid is laying in the yard holding a dog biscuit waiting on him to come back.

I doubt he made it far but if somebody happens to hear of anybody in the Middleburg/Orange Park area who found an awesome American Bulldog please let me know.

Here's what he looks like....

Hey Adam,

I know it's your kid holding that dog bisciut, but I bet your dog thinks that kid is HIS!

Would'nt suprise me none if that dog won't walk through fire to get back to HIS KID.
I'm sure he'll be happy with a dog biscuit bonus just the same.

What's your dogs name.
If people see one that might be him, they call call his name, and see if the dog responds.

His name is Rocky...I was in the 3rd ID when I got him and our mascot was a bulldog named Rocky..I'm not real imaginative when it comes to names I guess.

Best wishes to you on getting your dog back. I know mine are a part of the family and loseing one would be like loseing a child :( . Only difference with me is that my dogs listen better then the kid.

Well the genius is in doggy jail...gonna cost me about $150 to bail him out. I can't pick him up until Wednesday either...

They got some strange rules up here around J-ville.....

Glad to hear everything worked out OK
A dog and his boy will soon be reunited.
When you get some time alone with him, see if he's got some stories to tell. I can hear it now...A couple days on the loose, maybe a new tattoo, a litter on the way, finally picked up by the LAW and wound up in the slammer.

Come to think of it, sounds like some folks I know.

Hundred and fifty bucks! That's highway robbery!
Well at least you found the dog and he's safe, see if you can get some reliefe on the fine, lots of times the animal control folks throw out all osrts of big numbers to try to "educate" you, the reality is what the Judge says/thinks.

Glad ya found him !

I had a bulldog once, sorryest excuse for a K9 God ever strung a gut through. All he knew how to do was beg pizza, wear sunglasses and look cool. But he was MINE ! He dissappeared once and just as I was about to feel some satisfaction he shows up with a huge collar and about 2 feet of 1" diameter rope in tow. Guess whoever snagged him didn't have pizza. He chewed is way loose and came right home. Of course he got pizza that night. Beer too!

Guess he had me trained pretty good.

Ernie Bearce was an old friend who had a pair of very fine bird dogs.

He came home from a run one morning to find that the lock on their pen had been cut and that his dogs were gone.
Well, he ran an ad in the local paper offering a nice reward to anyone who might be able to return his dogs.

In a few hours his phone rang, and it was a woman who said that she might have his dogs and wanted to know what he was offering as a reward. Ernie told her that he'd be happy to pay $100 cash apiece if she would return them, and she said "OK" and hung up.

She never asked the address.

She came by in an old Chevy Blazer and delivered his dogs back to him. After Ernie had them safely locked up again he returned to this woman, handed her the $200, and told her that that was going to be the hardest money she had ever earned.

When she was backing out of his driveway he took her license number and called the Clay Co. (KY) sheriff's office and got an address. The next day he drove over there and walked around that old Blazer ........ and emptied the entire clip in his 9mm Glock into it. True story.

I had a blue pit that was stolen from the front yard that i had roughly $1500 invested in- worthless in the woods, and a true schitte eater, but once again, he was my dog. i posted a $500 dollar reward and a Mexican guy came up to me and told me that he had my dog- when he found out that it was a blue pit he decided to keep it and gave me a faulty number to reach him on. I imagine that if i were to find him and his "BLAZER" there'd be a few clips being shot through on it as well. Thats worthless when someone steals something from another man, and worst of all when its his dog.

Dang Adam! Sorry to hear that news. :(

I hope you get him back. Keep an eye on the humane society - sometimes animal control will pick up a dog walking loose. If not claimed or adopted - well.... it's worth a check just for peace of mind.

Best wishes. Great looking dog!

matt.

In Alachua Co if your dog gets picked up, it gets fixed and you get to pay the bill before you can pick it up.

He's fine...scared pretty bad..he don't like the dog jail but he hasn't been clipped and all I gotta pay for is the shots I can't prove he's had......

I should get him back tomorrow or Wednesday. Little Walker was walking around with an empty leash today.....poor kid.

I feel for him, I was purdy scared my first night in the can.
There was this young deputy that could not tell the difference
between coon huntin and fire huntin, we had dogs on the ground
.22 with shorts, and even had two coons in the truck.
Me, my buddy and both dogs sat in the holding cell from
about 11 PM till about 5 AM, only charge was huntin without
a lisence which was on the dresser at home (took it down the next day)
but yep we was scared.
