Are there any special tips or tricks to modify a 500 cfm Holley to run on an 0-470 GPU motor. I was wondering if a NASCAR ready carb. would work.

No real mods that will drasticly change performance. I bought mine from a speed shop and ran it right from the box. Just set the idle and float level then idle mixture and your good to go! I did not want to change anything on the carb because my gpu is stock. I really don't think I would gain much messing with it. I would rather have a good dependable carb so I don't get stuck somwhere.... Good Luck,

The only things that are altered with the 500 holley on my dads gpu are 76 main jets and I believe they are 1/8in. holes drilled in the butterflys so the they are not too far open at idle. this is on a 10:1 dual plug gpu that is setup to run on pump gas with lead.

Thanks ...I was wondering if a Nascar model was better, they use 50 cc pumps and some orther trick things in case of backfire. I didn't want to get into drill here replace there and then have it not be any better than stock. So that said thanks for the advise.

One thing that can be done is to check the vacume at idle and install the proper power valve in relation to the reading ,I have realy seen no proformance differences between the zenneth and 500 holley in my application .
