Moodfood and Airboat RN wedding

Dakota

Well-known member
Hi all, just wanted this out there. We booked a 2 room cabin at the KOA campground for the Friday night and Saturday night. There is a full sized bed and 2 sets of bunk beds. We do not mind sleeping in the bunk beds either. That was all they had there other than tent sites. Looks like everyone is booked and ready to have a good time that weekend. I know I am!!! Now if anyone wants to join us please feel free to. Just PM me and let me know.

Glad you brought it up about KOA Dakota.I have a question,do you have to be a KOA member to book cabin rentals?Thinking it would be another place for Operation Airboat people.

No you do not have to be. If you are you get a 10% discount is all. But yeah that would be a great place as well.

I spoke to Safari Rick today - BRING YOUR APPETITE!!!! There is going to be some chow there for sure!!! So far we've got 16 slabs of ribs, 32 half chickens, beef kabobs, potatoe salad, some gator nuggets, and I hope Cntry & Stan come thru with some frog legs! Just a reminder - while we are providing a lot of food, it is "pot luck" so I for one am looking forward to sampling some of these special dishes I've been hearing about. If you want to share or show off, BRING IT ON!!!!! :)

Water level is coming up. (a tiny bit) Laura and I will be out on the river in our boat doing recon rides for the week before the wedding. The final details will be worked out at that time.

This is going to NOT be a morning event. So that should make the drive easy for some coming in from around the state. MEET AT LOUGHMAN around noon.

We're thinking the our last ride as single people will begin around 2. By sunset we ought to be resting well with our bellies feeling good. :D

BRING CHAIRS. Since we are bringing our own food to Loughman, we're not suppose to be set up around the main building. They want us set up with the cooker and food over towards the lodge rooms.

This is looking like it's going to be a different and fun ride. I know I'm looking forward to it!!!! It'll be my last ride as a single guy and my first as a husband!

If anyone needs hotel info - I've got the names & numbers of all the hotels along I-95 from Hwy 46 south to Hwy 50.

;)

Unfortunately, Nicole and I won't be able to make it. I have to teach a class in Bonifay that weekend. Sorry. We wish the two of you the best and I hope everything goes off without a hitch...except for the two of you that is :p

well we have roommates for that weekend. Unclebubba and crew. Cannot wait for this one.

With some very helpfull info from our fellow airboater Micheal (he turned us on to one of his fovorite holes) cntry141 and I managed to get a pretty good mess of legs ,cntry is returning to frog country while I'll be runin the hounds this weekend .mood and airboat rn shall eat legs as they wed.

Frogs legs will be good. I missed out at the last one. They where gone before they hit the table.

Probably will be this time as well. I suggest not strayin far from the fyers, the only ones guaranteed a plate of legs are Mood & RN. Everyone else is on their own. LOL I am thinkin there will be plenty available but one never knows how to spell plenty.

Wooo HOOO!!!!! I'm HUNG-GREEEEE!!!!!

Geoff - you are more than welcome to come along!!! I would not mind getting a closer look at that killer looking boat you got there. I did not get a close enough peek at it during the recent poker run.

Date = This saturday Nov 18 - Need to be at Loughman shortly after noon. We're gonna try to have the ceremony out on an indian mound nearby at 2p.m. and we need to shuttle the family out there and get everyone all gathered up. Any and all can go riding as much as you want all morning. We'll be out there from sunrise on.

The preacher promises a quick ceremony and then we'll head back to loughman and set up the foodworks.

This will be SUPPER.

Now, understand that because it's such an open invitation that we're asking that our guests bring a pot luck dish.... Something they'd like to share or show off. We are having the Frog legs, some gator meat, possibly a pig or two, and lots of beef ribs, chicken halves, fixins and so on.

Cntry is right - we're going to TRY to serve the family and such first - but it sounds like there will be FOOD-A-PLENTY.

Part of the agreement with Loughmans has prohibited us from bringing any beer/booze on site - but I'm not looking if you want to bring your own. Just please respect the inside of the bar when it comes to carrying home bought brews in there.

I think we are providing a bunch of tea & sodas. This thing has grown out of porportion since we introduced my parents to Laura's parents. They've taken this thing and RAN WITH IT!!!!!

Looking good...... there is going to be almost a friggin' BOOK when it comes to offering THANKS to all who have helped.

If AirboatWorld Mag was still around and reliable - we were going to submit our wedding photos to them.... let it get published, then just buy some of the magizines and hand them out to the family as a wedding album. Hahaha.... We may still do that.

Looking forward to seeing lots of old friends and some family I've not seen in a while too. But most of all, we're looking forward to showing our families (who hardly know what an airboat is) what GOOD PEOPLE the average airboater is! Airboaters are Amazing.
