More questions on the PE90

Sorry to ask so many questions, but searchs have been less than fruitful:
What is the oil capacity?
Brands/weights of oil (remember it's cold up here!) PO was using Mobil 1 (weight un-known).
Oil filter? (saw an illustration on Durracan's web site but that was it)
Viewing the case from the prop end, on the left is a shaft sticking up that's slotted like some sort of linkage attached (see the bottom illus. on this link) http://www.dgsupply.com/d89.html Any enlightenment? when I first looked at the boat it had wicked high oil pressure, ran it a couple hours Sunday and it was anywhere from ~20 @500rpm to as much as 80 @2,200: Normal?
Any specifics on what used PE90's? The shop I work in has a library of thousands of Military Technical Manuals, but you have to know the modle of what you're looking for ie: M998, Truck, Cargo, HMMV
From everything that's been posted, it would seem that these are very durable, less than sensitive engines, and while it's not an AC engine, I still want to take care of like it was one. (Paddleing home sucks!)

I will try and answer some of these based on my PE 90.

I use Aeroshell 50W, but I live in Texas and it is a little warmer here.

Not to sure how the "oil pressure valve assembly" works. If I am thinking of the correct part, a buddy of mine uses that as the crankcase vent. In other words, he took the assembly out and used a hose to vent the engine.

My engine runs at a constant 60 psi.

I use 93 othane gas, and have no problems with it. I do let it idle about a minute after I get to a stopping point.

Hope this helps.

The sump holds 8qt... Aeroshell 50 w is good ...The plunger on the left side of the engine..Used to open the crankcase vent..There not normally used on an airboat..
Oil perssure sounds good 25 to 30 at idle and 60-70 at top speed.. This can be
adjusted..Theres a brass nut on the side of the sump.It holds a spring and plunger
That's where you adjust your oil pressure!
