motor mounts

lgower

Well-known member
need new rubber in my mounts ,any idea of where and what about going with poly instead of rubber, thanks, Lee

I think the poly would be almost the same as a hard mount the rubber allows the rubber to eat up some of the vibration

For old style mounts, Jurnigan in Plant City has the bushings...for new metalworks, the double cone mounts developed by Swampjet look to be superior.

Water Walker is machining and marketing the strongest mounts made. They are for Chevy engines but the rear mounts can be used for just about anything including aircraft. They where developed by Lonny Tucker of Outback Adventures for the super high horsepower motors that his customers require. For those that don't know Lonny, he builds the BADDEST,MEANEST buggys , pull trucks, and airboats around. With NO motor mount failure or even stretch. An engine must be able to move but must also be contained.

I will get pictures and details.

Chris Chardt took some photos of the prototype, maybe I can get him to post.

Bob

p.s. They can be made of mild steel, stainless, or aluminum.
