If any one decides to take the Marsh from Cabbage , she is still holding some water with a few bumps, if u don't mind burning a little extra gas.

Pacman, is it dry running if u take Florence the back way to behind the bird tower and Maccasin Island?? Just curious, might have 4 on my boat and not just the 2 of us.... 2 of us is just fine running dry, 4 is a pain running long distances on that 470....

Thanks in advance.. will meet Stewie at Florence at 3pm Saturday..

Ya'll have a safe trip, and will be standing by.. Wish I could go, repitched the prop to turn 2850 cause I gotta run dry at the OakHead and pull up into the trees.. I had it set on CRUISE MODE, turning top end 2450..   , touch the gas and it hopped right up on a plane, then the wife and I would cruise anywhere at 1600 RPM up and back to the Cabbage and in trails.. Great gas mileage !!!!!!

Will check back tomorrow.. Hope ya have a nice run, sure is nice weather and clear skies tonight for a ride.. Be safe and holler if something comes up....

Great ride last night, clear skies with a three quarter moon made for an exhilarating ride. It was cool out but dressed appropriately. And from the "back trail" from Florence all the way to Lake Winder we have water . Plenty of room for them big boats with a little skinny water with about 1 to 2 inches just past Duta mound. Making the ride nice and comfortable with a couple of openings to let her air out. Try to catch the First cut before the bird tower to the lake, It has the most water but hard to spot. The other cut has water with a nice muddy trough at the end. I just jumped up on the grass and run about 1oo yards to the lake.

A little TnT action, I think the Four banger club was out last night at the trees . We had six of us show up and looking pretty sitting in front of the oaks with no other boats to be seen. And all before that thunder of the marsh showed up for a little bottom tuning with a couple of hot laps. Another great time at the trees.

So how was it. I was running out Friday night but the boat made a big back fire felt like a duffle bag went thru the prop. So I aired on the side of I don't want to break down at camp and turned the boat around. Not sure what it was. I will check the intake tubes and the plugs. A back fire while running at 2500 rpm is not normal. I have not checked anything yet. Came home started a bonfire and drank beer with my bud for a while.

Movie night was a great success. All had fun. Bellies full, Friends a gathering and People from all over the areas converged on a common goal to enjoy the outdoors and be with fellow airboaters. We must of had about 53 boats show up. The Brevard County Airboat Association crew did an outstanding job of setting up the movie and St. johns River Airboat Association pulled off the best chili cook off that warmed a cold belly . Thanks again to all that supported this outing and we'll definitely have to do this again.
