Muffler on a Muffler question

I have a Caddy 500 with Magnaflow round mufflers, 3, and in and out straight line. I also have a Jeg’s evacuation system. The taps for the evac system are on the outflow side of the mufflers. Because of the cage and motor stand position I have mounted the mufflers under the motor parallel to one another. The right muffler crosses under and goes out the back of the left side transom and visa versa for the left.

The question is; can I add a set of Supertrapp mufflers on the ends through the transom and get extra quite and not hurt the performance without getting to much backpressure? Will this affect the evacuation system?

The evac will not work. You can add the supertraps and just run your evac hose on the cage in front of the prop. This pulls enough vac to help your crank case pressures.

The set up that Thunder just described is what I run on my boat and it works great the super traps mad a big difference in the noise level of my boat and I did not see a noticeable loss in performance and I run my case vent along the cage and aliened with the tips of the prop and it vents the engine great no problems

You can add curved elbows behind the transom that direct the sounds down at the hull centerline and that will make a difference.

i put supertraps behind my mufflers and had to put set screws in my exhuast if i used less than 20 discs per side,it would try to seperate.
