I know that some of you knew and most did not that I was following Faron on the new kid scale. Well we had a boy at 2:18 Sat afternoon!!!!! Mom ended up in ICU for 2 nights, but now is stable but still in the hospital, but hope she gets to come home tomorrow. John Hardin went to Arkansas Childrens Hospital. He had some surgery to repair his throat, that was not fully formed and is going to be in the NICU for at least 3 more weeks. Everything is looking good and some heart surgery between 6 weeks and 4 months, they are routine but no real worries in site. Just want to ask for all the thoughts and prayers that we can get for him. Also why are all boats left hand drive?

Fowbish - Faron mentioned you were near the same fatherhood date as he was when we took him some food last week. I did not comprehend the seriousness of the hospital stay!!! Hang in there man! Our thoughts and prayers are also with your family.

It's good that surgery done to a newborn baby heals differently than on an adult. Before too long he'll be as good as new if not better! and years from now his body will not show any sign of the surgery at all.

Hang in there. Keep us informed with an update if there are any developments or when it all comes out alright. :)

Hardin, your family is in our hearts and prayers. I have been waiting to hear how things are going for you guys. The new technology in medicine is amazing, think positive.

I want to thank everyone that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers. Mom is home but still pretty slow, as expected. John Hardin is still in NICU and probably will be for at least 3 more weeks. He has what is called VATER association. It is something that is seen in about 1 in 10000 babies. No real cause or anything, but it is seen in the central line of the body and limbs. The right had drive question is because he is missing the Radius bone in his left arm and has no left thumb. I can name many people w/o thumbs from team roping and had to get stiches in mine one time. Anyway this is all cosmetic. Some of the other things he has as I will try to go in order of importance, are his esophigis was not fully formed and it was attached last Sunday. They are going to run a Contrast test Tuesday to check for leakage and/or how much leakage, some is OK. If this test is good then the chest tube gets to come out then. Oh, by the way, he came off the vent Wednesday and off O2 yesterday. He has a VSD, hole between two chambers of his heat that will be fixed between 6 weeks and six months. A horseshoe kidney, that functions normally, but will have to be watched for urinary tract infections and kidney stones. Also his L3 is a little wedge shaped, nothing major but something that we will follow and have to look at about every 6 months. I am sure that I have for got something and will keep ya'll updated.

It is going to be a long road but for now everything is going in the right direction. Got to go be with him, talk to ya'll later.

Left hand stick...so you can cover your heart with your right hand each time you're reminded what a great Country we live in while your out ridin in Freedom.
