N20 DD

COLD

I have had experiences where I want bottom end motors so ran 4 hole gaskets seperating dual plane intakes and they ran like cr__! Went to open gasket and they ran fine. That mostly happened with like Wei____'_ dual plane intakes but not only them. I was wondering about dual plane with N20 and wanting to try like 2" 4 hole spacer seperating both sides of the intake. My thoughts are a little machine work to blend the two holes on the one side of the intake so you could install a fogger nozzel on each side so I could push the button at 1000RPM and have incredable torque! 8) I want max torque idle to 3000 RPM so I am thinking isolated planes would be better than installing an open plate with a spray bar but I have never tried it! What do you think!! 8)

I think you will need solid tool steel wristpins and pistons with 1" thick ringlands. LOL

OK....Dual planes will work to a small degree with plenum induced nitrous on very small tuneups. But distribution is pretty poor, and although the dual plane makes more low-end torqu N/A, plenum nitrous will actually make more torque with an open plenum, because at low RPM the engine is working in low frequency pulses. If the plenum is open, each cylinder will have access to the entire nitrous tuneup, but if it's seperate plenums, each cylinder will only see half the tuneup. Not saying it couldn't be made to work.....but that low of RPM w/N2O and that much load/cylinder pressure will be pretty hard on parts. I'm of course assuming you are talking a car app.....A/C engines get away with it at these RPMs to a certain degree, but they also have the parts I mentioned in the begining. LOL

A dual plane intake on a low RPM motor with N2O would be a piston burning combination especially when you hit N2O running dry with a heavy load on the motor. The only way I can see this working with a dual plane intake would be to use a fogger system with a nozzle in each port after the plenum. That way you could set the tune up for each cylinder or just do what Felber said and run a single plane intake. Car motor DD's on N2O scare me save the money and just install a gearbox this will perform 10 times better and not be no where near as hard on a motor.

cold as many idea's you come up with with the money you will spend, thunder is right just get a gearbox.
