narrowing up my hull

Not sure why I feel the need to share this here but I just got my boat out this weekend for its second trip. Parked at the gas station to pick something up for my wife and a lady backed into my trailer. My buddy just made me some guide ons which probably saved my hull but after getting home I realized she narrowed the left side of the hull by about a 1/4 of an inch. :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire:
Allthough she didn't just take off she didn't even act very apologetic. Just kept repeating how her little car couldn't possibly hurt a big strong boat like that. :blob6:

you should have told here her little car wouldn't have hurt your big strong boat if she didn't back into it! her insurance should cover it but it is still a pain to have to wait to get your stuff fixed because of someone else mistakes

Did you get her insurance info. or even her name and address.
if not, lick your wounds and go on, but if you did, call the
builder that made your hull and see if they will check it out.
it most likely wont cause a problem, but if it did, her insurance
should be held accountable.

nah I didn't get any information. I looked over the boat pretty good after she backed into it and didn't see anything wrong. Wasn't tell I got home I noticed it. Its only on the top brake of the side of the hull and I doubt it will do anything performance wise to the boat. Was just frustrating to have just spent 3 months sweating to death to get that boat done to have someone do something so stupid. I was so far away from the pumps I can't even figure out how she got to my boat from where she was parked or why she was even backing up to begin with.
I felt bad for her cause I could tell she didn't have much money and she had a little 3 year old girl with her which I am a huge sucker for kids.
I'll live and I am sure the boat is fine I was just venting out of frustration.
