anybody know if there is any where to run airboats up there, possibly moving up that way, thanks, Lee

There was a really nice couple from Tenn that used to fish the salt water airboat tournament each year. GTO sponsored it and they had a GTO boat. I'm sure Norman or most of the folks at GTO would remember them and may have contact info. Also search our member list for Tenn. members.

You'll love Tennessee. They have literally hundreds of miles of shoreline in that State, with some of the finest bass and crappie fishin to be found anywhere.

The water is deep in places, but don't let that stop you. You won't be running dry up there much because the shorelines tend to be rocky and steep, but the scenery and the water quality is second to none.

Lee, I don't see why not. Your boat will be a real novelty up there, so you'll kind of be setting the standard wherever you run it.

I'm from north Alabama myself. Grew up on the Tennessee river. Both the Alabama and Tennessee side. I don't know about the Cumberland river, which runs through Nashville, but I have seen airboats on the Tennessee river. Unfortunately, there are some state wildlife management areas and federal wildlife refuges that do not allow airboats. Like anywhere, you should check the regulations in a particular area before taking your boat there. Hope this helps.
Ash.

That is mainly where we run our boats is in the Tenn. river from Cleveland Tn all the way to Decatur, Al. There are a few duck refuges on Guntersville and a whole stretch around Decatur that you can't get in but certain times of the year and some of them no time at all. Lots of grass flats and shallow running on Lake Guntersville and we have been welcomed there, not a lot of houses on the north end around the management areas.
