Nebraska Airboat Raodeo

I just posted some pictures that I took at the Nebraska Airboat Rodeo that was on the 23rd of this month. I didn't get to count the boats but I heard there were 168 boats out there on a 104 degree day. No accidents or anything bad as far as I know other than a boat caught fire but was running again within a half hour. There was someone from American Airboats out of Texas there with a real nice boat, a few from Iowa, 1 radial aircraft engine, 1 with a blower super charger, couple of couter rotator gear boxes, and every thing in between. It was a good time even though it was so darn hot. If anyone else on this forum was there please uplode pictures and comments.

Thanks

My father drove from Texas to the Nebraska Airboat run and said that it was awesome. I will be posting pictures online to share with everyone. He said there was over 150 boat on the water at one time. He really enjoyed cutting up and participating in the airboat events. I will be at it next year for sure. It is worth the long haul. Thanks to the Nebraska group for putting it on. Be on the look out in upcoming Airboat world magazine issues, I am sure it will have a write up.

Hey nebraska looked like fun should be in ia. on the 21st. anything happening this fall I will try to keep up but moving half way across the country will take me out of the loop for 2-3 weeks any info helpful

There is a run coming up to Columbus but other than that I don't think there is much going on. You should have a look at the Nebraska Airboaters Association Website when you get a chance. http://www.angelfire.com/ne2/neairboaters/

They have a list of events there. Also an application. Anyone can join. There were a few guys from Iowa at the rodeo that Talked to. They said they run the Nishnabotna river in Iowa. So there must be places to run over in Iowa. The Platte River is down so far now that it is fun to ride. Lots of snaking to find the channel. There is Mostly sand and some water this time of year out this way.
