New Aluminum 500 Cadillac heads

That is so cool seeing someone doing this work for the Caddy Guy's. What's the valve angle did you roll it over any? What are you shooting for the finished runner size to be? It kinda does look alot like and FE port layout. Cool beans good luck with it!

The valve angle is still 11 degrees. 12 is optimum, so didn't screw with it. Did move the intake valve inward .120" and the exh outward .060" respectively. It'll look similar to an SB2 finished (portwise). Looks kinda FE wise due to intake port extensions.

I'm with you on that one mudpuppy. Looks like it will be a good investment and I can't wait to do my next build with a pair of those heads.

One good thing about it, the ports are smaller than an oval port BBC so it'll have enough velocity to carry the prop at lower rpms too. I'm doing a single plane with small ports as well BUT, under 5000, the edelbrock still may be the better choice. Go to a 2.68 and some rpms, the single will be better. Bottom end will cost alot more though with girdles and such.
