New Combo Suggestions.

My cousine has a boat now 16 x 8 fiberglass heavy boat and is thinking of changing combos on it. It is right now a DD 472 with a 72 x 36 paddle prop. He is thinking BB Chevy and Gear box. I want him to get into the Super Wide props but not sure what would work best. 2.68 and a 3 blade on a crate 502? He is pretty set on the crate engines. He thinks that is part of his problen now (he built the engine).

I'll take any advice and pass along. He wants to get it right the first time.
