New Hull....

kaos

Well-known member
Got the call from Diamondback this morning, they told me they were getting ready to put my rigging onto the new hull today, and i would be able to pick it up tomorrow morning at 10am. I can't wait to get it back. My hats off to all the great people at Diamondback, especially Fran for putting up with me adding something else every week for the last month to the order, and Bobby for makeing sure the boat was back to me exactly when they promissed it. That in itself was very impressive since they did'nt start making the hull till 5 days ago. That says alot about a company right their, makeing sure the live up to their commitments. I can't say enough good things about the experiance of working with all of them. I would recommend them to anyone interested in a great quality hull or complete boat. I will post some pics of it when i get it back tomorrow. :D :D :D :D :D

You sound like someone I have met before kaos. Were you at the Brevard County airboat meeting on Wednesday?

Ya, im the one that was talking to you and chris at the poker run and the airboatclub meeting that had the hamant hull and was changing to a higher sided diamondback hull...

That is right. I thought that was you but was not too sure. Cool. Now I know what your name is on here. :D

HEY KAOS HOWS IT GOING BROTHER ? I WAS WONDERING IF YOU WOULD MIND SHARING A LIL INFO ON WHY YOUR GOING FROM HAMMENT TO DIAMONDBACK, THE REASON I ASK IS I HAVE ALWAYS RUN FULLDECK PALM BEACH HULLS EXCEPT MY LAST BOAT WAS A 13 BY 7"6 ULTRA LIGHT DIAMONDBACK IT WAS A GREAT STABLE BOAT IN THE RIVER AND LAKES FISHING AND PLEASURE BOATIN BUT WAS A LIL HEAVY AND LACKING ON THE DRY GROUND HUNTIN FROM WHAT I WAS USED TO ...BUT IM BUILDING A NEW BOAT RIGHT NOW AND HAVE HEARD A LOT OF GOOD THINGS ABOUT HAMMENT AND I WAS JUST HOPING YOU COULD TELL ME FROM YOUR OWN PERSONAL EXPERINCE WITH YOUR HAMMENT WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO GO TO A DIAMONDBACK HULL ? ANY INFO ON THE PRO'S AND CONS OF YOUR HAMMENT HULL IS GREATLY APPRECIATED ..HOW IT RAN DRY , DEEPWATER , STABILITY , ECT...THANKS

Hey D-Brewster, My main reason for me personaly was saftey. I'm a very new driver and the sides on the Hammant i had were just to low for me. Up in my area you have to run deep water alot to get to the marsh, and that hull is very unforgiving because its sides and transom were so low. Also it really was'nt suited for my main purpose of gator hunting because of the same reason. Just to let you know, i had a ultralight 13 X 7.6' hull. Hammant makes a dam fine hull though, i've told by some old time experts, their some of the finest hulls made today. Just make sure you have one designed to fit your needs.....
