I build a 2.6:1 redrive for my mini to night. I got to pick up some new bolt to hold the motor down. I hope to run it tomorrow. It's not to pretty but it will work. If it work better then the 2:1 I'm going to make it look better.

Hey Josh, If you keep going with a lower ratio, we will have to make a wider prop,
maybe a mini max, maybe 52 inches X 10 inches wide. The first wide blades for
the mini's. :D Chuck

Hey i was thinking the same thing. I need one that make it max trust around 2000 rpms. then I could go with a 4:1 redrive.I could go bigger then the 52" prop. I got room for a 72" with my new redrive I will be able to change the reduction rate in about 10 mins. I have old 67" prop that I'm going to try on it. I think it going to be to big, buy I'm going to give it a try

catfish I'm using a arctic cat 440 l/c engine that make 57hp a 7500 rpms. That is the stock hp, mine has a few things done to it.

well I put the 67x30 pitch on and the engine would spin up to 7900.= prop speed of 2700. It did not seem to have as much push as the warp drive. I have a 72x32 that I might try tomorrow. It a wide blade wood prop :D
