new to air boating..need help.

can anyone help me. I'm fixing up my pop's old air boat. what is slick bottom or frog spit. I'm pretty sure it makes the bottom of your boat slicker so you can go faster in water and ride on land/grass if you like. where can I get some and how much would it cost me. this is going to be one hell of a project any tips would be nice. been in storage since 77' and time has taken it's toll. thanks for any and all help.
