HI. Names Clyde. Live in small town, Port Acres, TX. Been duck hunting and airboating for 30+ years. Have wanted to build my own boat for 20 years.(patience) Started my own boat about 7 years ago, been running and fine tuning for about a year. I did not build the hull, ordered an open 15/7 1/2 Diamondback and did everything else.( with the help of Racin Randy) This is the coolest site I've ever run across. Great site!!! I'll post a picture of boat once I figure that part out.

Welcome, you have joined the best site on the net,so enjoy and think about becoming a site supporter and gaining more space for down loading all your pictures.

I liked reading past topics about "The perfect Boat", "AC vs CM", etc... Everybody does have their own opinion. What works for me doesn't always work for "Joe Airboater". I've run both AC and CM. Technology is great. Be willing to try new "stuff". IMO there's no substitute for experiance. Put both of these together and "THINK", and you will have the closest thing to the "Perfect Boat". Here's mine....

Welcome aboard, Spoonbill ...... where is Port Acres, TX located ? Looks like y'all have some good water to run in there.

Shield - SS plate - That part of the cage takes the most abuse. Had to repair a few over the years on our previous boats.
Port Acres is almost the fartherest southeast Texas you can get. Sabine Pass is. I'm 5 miles from Louisianna, 15 miles southeast of Beaumont, Texas. My website has a map(needs to be updated, think I can make a better one)

welcome spoon im still a newbie here and love the site im steadily collectin pieces and parts to build myself a boat also been looin at the mini boat scene thinkin of gettin one of those started too also nice boat is that a platform type step in the rake you have looks like it would make a good bowfish platform!

Several bayous, Taylors, Big Hill, Hilderbrant. Have a camp on Big Hill bayou, kind of in the middle of J. D. Murphy's wildlife preserve.

Good to see you on here Clyde, there is a wealth of knowledge on this site. I'm sure I'll see you up the bayou pretty soon. #30
