New to all this, never even been in an airboat before. But picked up a project about a month ago, just seemed kind of neat. Put a couple pictures in the gallery. Don't yet know how to post one on here.

I've already read some good information on here that I hope will help getting mine running.

Here's what I have so far. Boat in the pictures is about 12 feet long but narrow, about 38 inches on bottom. It came with a 400 cc snowmobile engine that needed a lot of work and parts really hard to come by for. I'm going to start with a 13 hp electric start Honda clone and a 36"x 14, 4 blade prop. Both of these came pretty cheap, so that's my starting point. Also, don't know how the hull will handle being narrow as it is.

Looking forward to learning a lot more about this new hobby.

welcome to the site!

there is a bunch of guys trying to get a LA club going right now and that may be good for your to meet local airboaters that may give some ideas

Narrow boat will at least get you started but once you start the airboat influence is strong to keep wanting more  with the narrow boat try to keep your center of gravity as low as possible

That's a cool looking boat!!!!

I notice NO TRAILER.... ;) ;) Gotta love waterfront property!!!!

Sounds nice. LA got some nice places up there, and more and more members here are coming from LA & TX.

Good stuff.

WELCOME!!!!
