New to the forum...

Hi ya'll I'm new to the fourm. I'm glad there is a place like this on the web. Currently I am running a 72 x 34 wood paddle on my boat but will be putting a 72" Q series Sensich (sp?) 2 blade on next week. My hull is a 15.5 Rivermaster an power is a Lycoming 0480 that I think used to be a 0435. We mostly just do coastal fishing out of it and I never try to run anything dry (I don't need to and I know it won't). The boat is HEAVY and I am wondering if the Q series will be too much prop. Also, what should I expect (performance) changing from the wood to composite.

Thanks,
Barry

The Q will put a smile on your face your motor will spin it up a lot quicker, and you can adjust the pitch to where you want it, they push like hell

Welcome to Southern Airboat oldskoolwilly.

Can't help you with the prop question, but let us know how it does. I want to try that 2-blade "Q" and compare it to the 3-blade (narrow) that's on my 470 right now.

Rick

Thanks, I am also installing a tach. I'm curious to see what I am spinning the wood prop at but I can't hardly wait to put the "Q" on :headbang: I'll keep you posted.
