OVER BUDGET

I just wanted to say hello. My screen name is about my over budget boat I just put together,when the Ball and Chain finds out how much I spent I will have some explaining to do.I look forward to riding with you all.
 
O.B., if we all added up the money we've spent on these old boats we'd probably just shoot ourselves. :)

My resident 'ball and chain' comes close to me though with shoes, clothes, and the newest 'big deal' shampoo.

Hi I just joined today too. Ive been looking at the site all day and these guys sound like they know what there talking about. They seem nice too.
 
Huntnfish, there is no better place on the planet.
There are folks on here that will astonish you with their knowledge and experience. And yes, they'll all very nice.

HuntandFish be careful once you get airboating in your blood it is hard to get it out.Isold my last boat 15 years ago and kicked my self when I did.Take your time looking for a boat there is no such thing as a cheap boat.GOOD LUCK

OB...I know how you feel. Started a project a while back and almost finished, just a few more things. But it's all good, I've learned quite a bit.

Remeber guy's if my wife asks I got $1,500 in my boat. We all gotta stick together and keep our stories straight.

God I am glad I don't have a Wife to worry about explanning how much I have spent on my boat and that does not even account for the time I think I would be taken out and Shot Always glad to see new guys come aboard
 
Most airboaters are also fishermen so LYING about how mush we have or don't have in our boats comes a little easier. Trick is to find a wife thats also a fisherman and loves airboating. Dogs and kids are a plus too.

Welcome to the forum, great to have ya here. Dont forget to check out our special to become a site supporter. This place is great but it don't run for free. Click the "Southern Airboat Member" right under yer name. Its not a requirement to use the forum, but it sure helps keep it going. Not important how much anyone contributes just that IF you can, help out.

Thunder, I told granny the boat was goin together with 'mostly' stuff we already had ..... guess I probably overlooked the Edelbrock RPM air gap, the MSD ignition, and the Comp cam, but hey, we already had the hull :lol:

If Lacey ever asks I'll swear you told me you had less than $1500 bucks in the whole rig.

Welcome to both of you. You will find a wealth of information and humor on this sight . as well as the ability to communicate with airboaters all over the U.S The biggest thing you will find is that we all love Airboating and want to work together to enjoy our sport.
