Newb Question about half decks

Hey guys, still searching hard for a boat, going to look at quite a few over the next few weeks and will be crisscrossing the state to do it. Another one caught my eye, but it is a half deck. I searched the other posts for info on them, and found plenty on the open deck/full deck over comparison, but not much on half decks. A little background about me for those unfamiliar. I am a raw novice, ridden in but never operated an airboat. Big guy, 275 lbs, hunter/fisherman/explorer type.

You guys have been great, I really appreciate all the support. I showed the responses to my first post to my wife and she was very surprised. Between that and the post about the poor guy who sank his boat and everyone coming together to help him get it back, got my budget increase approved by her :)

That looks like a pretty sweet boat especially if your running shallow water. if that motor is in good shape I would be all over it.. That is about the ideal size hull as well. personally I would deck it in the rest of the way, It don't look like much decking in the rear, but that's minor.
