nice ride

I never thought I would say this but I really enjoy my boat with mufflers. I wasn't going to leave my complete exhaust system on after the sound testing but now I am. I rode from south of Bulldozer thru lake Hell and Blazes, Washington, Florence and all the way to Poinsett. The whole ride I only saw two other boats. My motor was turn 1,600RPM and it was nice and quite I stopped at the Indian burial ground and my ears weren't ringing. I try to ride at least once a week but that's hard sometimes, yesterday was a real treat no matter how many times I been on that river I still love to park on it and enjoy the sun set and everything that comes out with it. Man I love Florida it's perfect accept for the non indigenous species. See you all at lake Kiss this weekend!

What setup are you running as far as engine, muffler combo? I just bought a boat with a DD chevy 350, and need to outfit it with something.

Thanks,

Tom

I run a 2.68 gearbox so our combo's will be completely incompatible however my mufflers are Summit all stainless pn # SUM-630530 they cost $69 each I like the way the inside of the muffler is structured not only does it use the sound absorbing material design of most mufflers but it also has a neat design that bounces the sound waves around to weaken the sound enegry even more. So these things are nice and quite my motor produces just over 600HP and I haven't noticed much of a difference but I do believe it snaps even harder which I find hard to believe because this motor has always had insane bottom end and throttle response.

I MIGHT OF BEEN ONE OF THE BOATS YOU SAW ON THIS RIDE, WAS OUT RUNNING ON THURS. NIGHT. I'LL KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR YA.

With the thrust that you develop at low RPM, what does it do to the idle speed handling of the boat? Or in other words, what speed do you idle at and does it cause you any problems over a slower turning prop?
One of your engines was on a boat displayed at the Sun & Fun fly in this year. There was some impressive detail on that engine. Very nice.
