No more propellor issues

I think I am going to install a turbine engine on my next boat. I wont have to worry about a prop anymore. I can use those space age tiles off the shuttle for my rudders so the heat won't melt my rudders. Then I'll re tune my flux capacitor to eliminate the noise or sound whichever it is. I'll be able to sleep again, and not have any worries but my FUEL cost. Faron will be less busier with trying to dodge prop questions, and all the boys doing research will be able to get back to drinking beer and not worry how quiet is quiet.

BTW, a person laughing registers 25 or more DB of sound or noise depending on the laugh. So be quiet on your new turbine airboat, you may wake a gray hair up if you laugh loud enough.

Chester may need to get rid of that drink mixer has has concockted as well. I might get loaded before the chat tonight so beware!

Rich,

Can't fool me :D

Everybody know that the flux capacitor on an airboat has a direct effect on thrust-not sound!

I'll have one with you please :eek:ccasion5:

I'm gettin loaded up tonight, the chat room won't be the same! Nobody is immune to my TUI(typing under the influence). I can see Rick now, don't worry buddy, I'll keep it clean(my keyboard that is).

I have been wanting to do a turbine airboat for a lot of years but like everything else, turbines are so rudely overpriced its insane.

Weed Eater powered drink mixers at least are productive, as are Train Horns.

How about a 400 DB train horn? Now theres a thought. Not only tell folks your coming but scare them so bad they will turn and go the other way.

I had a turbine builder tell me he wants to build a turbine boat... is that practicle or not? I don't know anything about turbine engines. Said he'd use a 600 hp small helo engine. Don't they use tons of fuel? And are extreemly loud? Like I said... I know nothing about turbines.

A turbines element is high altitude. Yeh power stations run them and some long haul trucks were tried with them. Fuel consumption at sea level for something like an airboat would be insane.

We can get 600 HP out of Waterthunders engines, why bother for a turbine in the same neighborhood, Im thinking 1-2,000 HP.

Tirbines are horrendously loud and near impossible to quieten except for fixed installations. That exhaust gas is hot enough to start fires too.

I'd kill to be able to build one !

this guy did some work on Jay Leno's turbin bike (he said). I thought he was just talking but have heard he has money and doesn't just talk. I might have to talk to him some more just to see how serious he was. If he does it, I'd have a story I guess.

A couple of weeks ago I was watching a show, cool fuel road trip. They were showing a turbine pickup. The company that did the conversion was marine tirbine tech. I went to the web site http://www.marineturbine.com/
They also did an airboat. I called them and didnt get a lot of info but it would be expensive. If you go to the website and check the boat it will tell a little about it.
I think it would be a fun project but not to practical.
You should also check out the MTT truck, that was neet.
