I do alot of airboating with my buddy and i am looking to with buy my own airboat or make one. I am either looking at 12 - 13 foot glass boat or a palm beach hull. Lookin for a motor easy on gas and can push a boat like i want with 2 - 3 people on it and can carry my hunting supplies. I would like to stick with a aircraft engine and was considering a 180 lycoming or a a smaller 6.... any ideas??

Those GPUs are alittle cheaper than lycomings. Good starter motors for lots of people.

Those 0-360s are a nice motor, It is one of the most produced Lycomings at this time. So there are lots of parts. They can produce up to 220 just stock from the factory.

With a Palm Beach or good glass hull, three people and gear will run nice in the water and across wet marsh. Probably will not be able to run long stretches of ground with it loaded, but with a single person, some of the boats are really nice.

Plus with that 0-360, the total boat is very light, which I love.

I do alot of duck hunting and dont plan on running much on land.....My buddy has a camp in area 2A off of Lox road witch is about 5 inutes from my house.....I want to do some eploring around the Kissimmee river, Lake Kissimmee, and St. Johns River..... I am looking for something to get to camp and to ride around and frog in without spending much at the pump
