Hey guys, I'm into doing things other people don't usually do, so I've got a Panther 8'x6' glass hull. On this I am putting a subaru 100 hp engine. Any body know of a prop adapter or someone who can build me one?

sounds like a bath tub with HP.good luck with it, keep us informed on your progress. I thought Panther had some ins with what your looking for?

I know a guy that was working on putting a suburu on an airplane...I'll ask him about adaptor if I can get in touch with him.....will let you know.

There used to be a place out west that used Subarus, Geo 3 cyls, and Ford V-6s. They used Arrowprops with belt reductions. Sorry can't remember the name of Manufacturer but maybe Arrowprop would know.

Anybody with a 5-6" laythe at their disposal can make ya up an adapter. Check with the local high school machine shop or automotive shop classes.

I used to make the ones we sold with our boats at home at night.

Thanks for the info guys. I had a guy try to talk me into putting 200 Lyc. on it "just for kix" he said. I've experienced those kind of kicks before, not fun.

Anyone really good with bondo and fiberglass?
I have a 8' Surf Board that I want to put a WaterThunder Engine on.

Just pokin fun Airboatman.

Yes, DD. I found several Redrives(gearboxes) for the application but the price is very prohibitive. DD with a warp drive is what I'm looking at.

Airboatman, those Subaru engines make a great little light craft engine. A lot of the guys that still fly gyrocopters use them because they're so reliable.

For a DD your low speed torque is where they'll suffer a little, and if I'm not mistaken Comp Cams in Memphis has a grind for them. Give 'em a call ..... (901) 795-2400.
