Does anyone know about an airplane wreck in the woods near gopher slough? I think i saw some pictures of it here a long time ago but cant find anything now. I think it may have been on private property but I remember from the pics it was a pretty complete fuselage.

Here's the pictures. I don't remember exactly where it is though except around Lake Harney somewhere.

INCIDENT SUMMARY
N77TS, a Piper PA23250 aircraft, was involved in an incident during normal cruise on March 24, 1986 at 12:10, in Osteen, FL.

There were a total of 0 people on board, of which 0 were flight crew members, 0 were cabin crew members, and 0 were passengers. No fatalities occured.

At the time of the incident, the pilot in command held a private pilot certification, and had a total of 11500 hours of flying experience.

The aircraft had accumulated 5935 hours of flight time, and was powered by 2 engines. The engines were manufactured by Lyc, under type Io540c4b5.

INCIDENT DESCRIPTION
Intoxicated pilot lost control after engine failed due to broken fuel injector line. Wing hit water. Cartwheeled.

I believe the plane was a twin engine if my old memory serves me correctly. It hit the water out in the lake. Somewhere I have some pictures of me standing on the plane before it was removed. They (FAA?) probably moved it to its final resting place near Gopher Slough. That property used to belong to Frank Ford, an attorney in Deland but I don't think there was any connection to the plane or incident.
