Old Bomb testings??

Does anyone know if any nuclear bombs were dropped in South Florida in the early 1900's? Some of the everglades are known as the "Bombing Range"...but we want to know what kind were dropped?

no nukes, but the glades are poisoned-ask big sugar why. or SFWM since they are in big sugars pockets.

I think all the bombing ranges in FL are much like Avon Park is. Iron bombs some flairs and some rockets fired from choppers and planes. Never heard of a Nuke in FL.

Of course there were nukes dropped here, just look at a map of
Florida, You did'nt think they dug lake Okeechobee did ya ?

In 1957 a B-47 crashed with nukes on board in Florida but they didn't explode. I dropped a few bombs at Avon park back in the 1980's. They were all conventional bombs. Nothing bigger than a 2000 pound Mark 84.

Who knows what was dropped in the 40's but by the 1970's the Air Force was big on keeping the gunnery ranges clean of environmentally damaging stuff.

im sure there were test bombs dropped in the glades... in the keys in the gulf of mexico, extremely close to and some parts including everglade's national park off long key there is a bombing range out there, the holes are now filled with lobster, grouper and snapper thought  wat a delight! but i wouldnt doubt bombs were tested in the glades, but im sure not nuclear....

the army airforce missed the avon park range back in the fortys an bombed frostproof oops true story. my property is 3 miles east an the navy is going to start droping live bombs soon hope they got better aim talk about noise least my airboat dont crack windows
