As some of you may know I have been building a 13'6 panacraft with a olds 455 dd(around 500hp). well I got most every thing done on it today. I set the engine as far forward as I could. I'm running two single seats with a pan cake cage. I put the boat in the water today to see how low it was going to set in the water and its not as bad as I was thinking it was going to be, With me sitting in the front seat(280lbs) the back of the boat draws about 6-8" of water. The back is 20".so I hope the back wash won't be to bad. Going to have to watch it.(the boat was not ready to run at this point just check to see if it was going to sink when I put it in the water) Took the boat home and finished up most of the small stuff. drop it on the ground and with a rigged up throttle cable(only getting 2450rpms 3/4 throttle)drove it around the back yard. The prop is a wide blade 72x38 wood. It will out run a running man. The engine stand has a build in jack so I'm going to play with the angle of the engine tomorrow to fine tune it.Iwill try to post some pics tomorrow. It's not pretty but as long as it runs I'll be happy :D

Don't know what you stand looks like or how the jack are made. Most of the time when you adjust the jacks you are making adjustment to the bottom of the hull. You can really change the shape of the hull and crack a stringer.

When it come to changing the angle of the motor, most people shim the motor mounts. But, like I said , I don't know what your rig looks like. Just something to think about before you get to cranking on thing.

I know about bottom jacks. My engine stand is set up so I can change the angle of the motor by adjusting to big nuts and bolts

I DONT NO JOSH SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE WAS DOING SOME EXPERIMENTAL ENGINEERING ON THAT STAND NEVER SEEN NOR HEAR OF THAT BUT NOW DAYS ITS ALL POSSIBLE
BUT TWISTING THE ENGINE ON THE BOAT COULD CAUSE SOME MAJOR DAMAGE TO THE HULL AND RIG BY STRESS
