Opinion on fixing hull.

I have a small peanut hull. It's has some hole in the bottom. I was just going to patch them and use ploy on it. But my bother is using the ploy on his boat. Now I'm thinking about recovering the whole bottom with fiberglass mat. Do you think it would add to much weight to the boat. If I go that route I'll put frog spit on it. I think it would be lighter then the ploy on there. I have the frog spit. Thank for any help.

DID MINE OLD COTTONMOUTH LIKE THAT REGLASSED THE WHOLE BOTTOM WITH 2 0Z MATT AND THEN USED POLY NEVER HAD NO TROUBLE .
YOU CAN ALSO COAT THE BOTTOM WITH A LIGHT COAT OF RESINE AND WHEN I STARTS TO TACK UP U CAN ADD THE FROG SPIT THAT ALSO WORKS GREAT
