opinions on composite prop wanted

I have just built a new 383 stroker motor for my boat and plan on ordering a new prop this week just looking for opinions I cant make up my mind between a Sensenich, Whirlwind or 8 blade stacked warp drive. engine must be dyno tested but guess somewhere between 450 and 500 hp at 5600 and aprox 490 ft lbs torque at 4500 with 2.38 gear box

Thanks in advance,
Mike B

Mike,
calculating the RPM's puts you more in line with a superwide blade such as Sensenich Superwide Q blade, or Powershift (WaterWalker) Maximus. The horsepower would over power an 8 blade Warp (50 horse per blade plus 1) unless you go with a 10 blade Stacked and Staggered. WOW a 10 blade Turbo-Warp drive, .....BITCHIN!

Yea BF, I know, But I still have report cards from elementary school where the teachers comments read "Bobby daydreams too much". Some things NEVER change.

if you are looking for quiet i run a whirlwind 3 blade stump puller and have it set at 2300 max prop rpm and it is not that quiet but it does push pretty good.

I like the Sensenich props. Does anybody know if they're making the Q Series in right hand rotation yet?

yes, they are. Check out the pic's in ABW of the Feature Boat. V-6 with a Superwide Q-blade that was cut down in length.

just to let you know i run a 406 with a 2.38to1 reduction putting out approx 450 hp and 450 torque . I run a Sensenich.80 in 3 wide blade and am very happy with it . Copperhead
