Osceola Airboat Jamboree ?

Has anyone heard anything about the Osceola Airboat Jamboree?
I think that it is next Saturday but I have heard nothing about it.
Where is it and when?
How do I get there?
Does anyone know anything about it?

Looked like the Jamboree turned out to be a great event. Certainly had the good weather for it. We were sorry we did not make it until late in the day due to other business but it was so nice once we got there to have everyone be so open and friendly toward us and not treat us like outsiders. What a wonderful close group you all are.

We got some nice feedback about Airboating Magazine and had several people tell us they had heard about the event from the magazine - which is what it is all about - sharing information and supporting airboating.

It was nice that Bonnie, the lobbyist was there . Unfortunately, she did not seem to have time to talk more with us. We are hoping to get an update from FAA or from Bonnie on what is going on in the political arena in Florida to include in the July/August issue of Airboating Magazine.

Okay, so it was a great day for airboating and fellowship. Heard a few "rumors" already about food not being served early enough and some other things...........

There were a few "glitches" needed to be worked out. However, having something for the first time YOU know that everything will not be perfect. So, hopefully next year will be even better.

Suggestions of definitely food being served EARLY when folks arrive, which I thought was supposed to be, however, communication gap..............

Also, vendors should be out in the field with the airboat vendors (some people didn't even know that there were vendors selling and have the band come earlier and/or music being played through the day until the band arrives.

A date has already been chosen for next year, so hopefully the ariboat community will once again support the Jamboree!

On the whole, hopefully people had a good time just getting together with old friends, meeting new friends and the one who came for dinner, enjoyed the barbecue, it was good!
The band was good in the evening and the night turned out to be beautiful!

Sometimes you have to give things a second go at it before it comes off a little smoother! Thanks for the support that you all did give Saturday and please come back next year! Promise it gets better!

It was an AWESOME DAY!!!! All that you are talking about Vickchick is just the fine details. You and the Osceola Club did a SUPER DUPER job on the show out there!!!!

Thank you Osceola County Airboat Club!!!
Great location for that kind of event. Thanks to the land owner(s) and Overstreet Landing for hosting. What a perfect location for a large event like this was. And there was room for an even bigger event in the future.

Laura counted the boats on both beaches several times during the day - The busiest part of the day (that we saw) was after the rodeo runs and before the poker run. She counted 160 boats. And it is safe to assume that another 40 (or more) were out riding or had not arrived or had had an early day - making our estimate for the day be 200 boats present.

I did not hear of any incidents or accidents - not one hurt and no major breakdowns. Not saying it did not happen - just we did not hear of it.... and for so many boats in one place - WOW. Congrats to all who attended for playing it safe and using good judgment.

OCAC great job on your first Jamboree.I hope the SCAC Jamboree goes as well later in the year. The only down fall I had was the wind,it sure was NASTY.It was great seeing all my SA buddies again. :D

Had a great day. Had our little baby with us and he was spoiled rotten. Was good to see everyone. We did take a short ride in the morning and then a ride with the Poker Run. The wind was something else but overall it was a great day. The food was great and the company was great. Yes, I am sure there was some things that happened but that was the first one and I am sure it will be even better next year. Thanks to everyone who put this thing together!!!!! We had a great time!!!!!!

I think she said it's an Australian Sheep Herding dog. I don't know. It's one of them small super-smart breeds of dog. They just about teach them to operate a calculator sometimes!

That dog looks a lot bigger in these pics - it's only a couple of pounds and maybe 7 or 8 weeks old.

But dang, if it's not about the cutest little critter out there at the Jamboree!!!

:)

Oh my gosh they turned out so cute!!! He is an Australian Cattle Dog (BLue Heeler). Thanks Matt!!!
