OUTBOARD Mini AIRBOAT

COLD

  When is the last time I had a nutcase idea? The heat is gettin to me so I had a couple of beers while I was doing some work on my lake boat. Not that I'm going to do it but for a mini air boat you turn that outboard upside down, remount the carbs right way up, tie into the cooling system, (perhaps electric pump) and build a prop adapter in place of the prop?  I checked my manual and 150 HP is 290 LBS (not real light) but includes a 2/1 gearbox built in! (Get rid of til /trim hydraulic cylenders and engine mount stuff, Hydraulic pump) You could probably get rid of 30 to 40 Lbs. of excess aluminum. Only thing that might be tough is getting it quiet. Just thought there are probably lots of old Merc's and Evenrudes out there that nobody wants! Just a thought!

  I thought if someones as crazy as me, it might just spur the imagination!!   It would probably look better if you didn't have the upside down Mercery/Evenrude sheetmetal on the engine!!1
