It only gets worse the farther nort you go. I personally run Yankeetown and know fron experience that if you don't want to rocks and oyster bars you don't want to go up there or you have to stay in the bays.

Well if the airboat gods will let me have my airboat back and running I'll be up there this weekend sometime. If you don't like to take a chance on the rocks up there then you know scallop season starts this weekend. Head out to deeper water.

Headed up to the family property this weekend, and was looking for a new place to ride. I've been up there all my life (as a weekend place) and really only rode the St. Martin's area, and a little bit of Fish Creek and the Salt River. I'm always worried about hitting rocks, and that country up there has plenty of em'. I've only found a few trails and they seemed pretty rough (I'm used to Lake O' and the glades). Anybody got any ideas on where to run up there. I like the country, but really don't want to beat the bottom out of my boat if I can help it. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

HarryTFirefighter is the man to get in contact with. He knows the Homasassa/Salt River like the back of his hand. He knows the airboat trails and he knows where the scallops are too.
