If SA wants table space for free at the Citrus/United Sportsman swap meet at GTO in Ocala on March 4, all you have to do is ask. Seek new members, sell raffle tickets, ect. Come on out.

Just a quick update:
We'll be heading back out to the Palm Beach Show today, and yesterday was very successful.

The Palm Beach club has got a good show this year. not bad sized, but great location, and atmosphere.

We got to talk to alot of people who had not been to S/A before. Team Basketcase doing a great job in the P.R. dept with a good crowd in the tent. Had quite a few Regular members stop by as well.

The wireless card did not have enough signal strength at the show location to be useful, but Rick had some of the webpages stored on his computer. He had it on the table, with some of our videos running, and the volume turned up. That got alot of folks to walk up to the table for a closer look. They all enjoyed looking at the member photo album Mrs. Basketcase put together. They were sent away with S/A stickers, and a flyer describing the site.

I've been meaning to reply to your offer above Gatorstick.
It's a very generous offer, but I won't be able to be the one to make that one happen. Rick, and Team Basketcase did alot of the work to prepare for this show.

Perhaps one of the members from that area will want to take that one on. All I can say is, I'm looking forward to going back to the show today. Yesterday was alot of fun.

If anybody puts a booth together for the swapmeet, you'll probably be glad you did afterwards.
 
Cowboy, I'll be over at the Swap Meet all day on Sat. I don't have a laptop, but we'll try to keep up the good work y'all started somehow ....

I'll have my pop up and a table with me. If anybody has some ideas I'm all ears.

Being at the Palm Beach County Airboat and Buggy Show was fun. I was surprised at how many people showed up despite the weather on Sat. and the predicted bad weather for Sun. Turns out Sun. was the better of the two weather wise.
We had great response to our presence and allthough people had heard of the site many were not sure what Southern Airboat is all about. We did our best to explain to people that Southern Airboat is an on-line airboat information reasource for airboaters by airboaters. I think allot of people will be checking us out and those who might have found us by accident before will take a closer look.
One of the things exciting to me was talking with people about the over 3,000 pictures on the site specifically the "Vintage Airboat" photos. I had several people tell me they had some old picture that we might all enjoy.
As we observed the crowds we came up with some ideas that might get us even more attention at the Broward show next month and we've statred to make those ideas reality.
I want to thank Rick and his family, Mr. & Mrs. Basketcase, and of course my brother Cowboy for taking the time to educate people about SA.
Hope to see more of you in Broward next month.
 
We did have a great time at the show. I would like to thank cowboy and his brother, woods pussy(hee-hee), Rick and Teresa for the great company. Looking forward to the Broward show. Ben is right, already working on "marketing" strategies.

Teresa & I had a great time too (and the Grandkids). Tristan's eyes lit up when I told him we might do it again in a few weeks. Of course he's a major Bass Pro Shop fan, so finding out that's where it was gonna be might of had a little to do with that.

We sold a lot of t-shirts & passed out every sticker we had (over 150).

Congratulations on the trophy cowboy & Woods Pussy. That made the fun times even funner.

Great job of setting everything up cowboy, Basketcase, Ms. Basketcase, & Woods Pussy. Thanks!

Rick, I just talked to Team Basket on the phone a few minutes ago, and Jeff is gonna UPS the banner to me for the Swap Meet in Ocala on Sat.

Cowboy has already emailed the flyer, and I'll have some of those printed up too. We'll have a 10' x 10' pop-up shelter with the SAO banner, a table, and flyers to hand out at the swap meet.

Feather you mentioned you don't have a laptop. And for anyone else who doesn't and might be interested in one. Especially if you don't need the newest and baddest lapper out there. Check out this site. I know several folks who have got decent deals from this guy. At least he has a warranty with what he refurbishes.

I ordered a 10'X10' canopy cover similar to the Everglades Shade versions being shown and sold next to the SA booth at the show in Palm Beach. We can use it for the Broward show. I'm not sure if you received the PM I sent you last night about the banner information I gathered yesterday as well. Let me know and I'll send it again if needs be.
Still researching that Broward date Quaker1027. If I find it I'll let you know. The Broward Club's web site is not coming up for me.
 
The Broward Airboat Show will be held March 25th & 26th at Bass Pro Shops located at 200 Gulf Stream Way, Dania Beach, FL 33004 (954) 929-7710 GPS; 26 03.474 deg N 80 09.870 deg W (WGS84/NAD83) Got the coordinates from the BPS web site and thought it was pretty funny that they post them there.

Hope to see as many memebers as possible. Wear your SA gear if you have some. If not it's available in the SA store here on the site and I'm sure SA gear will be available at the show.
