Panther torque gearbox noise

Been going round and round with panther. Have spent the last 2 weeks pulling my box and prop, changing prop, checking crank play, motor mounts and every other excuse for a "harmonic noise/vibration". Got back with panther again today and spoke with one of their mechanics who claims he has the same box and puts them on all the time. With that being said he said, he told me it was just gear backlash and his sounds exactly the same. Some boxes the noise goes away and others it will always be there. Is anyone else experiencing similar results from these Torque boxes ? Panther claims they've never had a single complaint call about these new boxes. Noise gets very noticeable at 3k and higher you Rev the louder it gets and never clears out. Does not do it with the box only ( no prop ) but we've tried 2 different props with same results.

I hear stories of people having complaints or noise issues that they think is their box and ends up being a motor issue. Far as I can tell we're hitting on all 8, no dtc 6.0 gen 3 Ls

I run one and have zero issue with it and less harmonics than the competitors box due to the soft drive.

If you disconnect the ignition and move the blades back and forth how much lash are you seeing. Years ago Blu bought a Torque drive and it had a ridiculous amount of lash in it. They replaced the drive for him as it was a new purchase and problem started immediately. Only person I know who has had an issue.

How much time is on your drive and what oil are you running in it ?

End play looks good in my opinion, I've ran looser boxes with no noise. Heck maybe it's too tight. I have minimal hours since I was worried I'd be screwing up but I'm to the point I don't know what els to do but run it. I'm running panthers fluid, I've drained it to make sure nothing looked out of sorts so now on fresh fluid. They run these boxes before they leave panther for a few hours of a belt drive they have rigged up but from what I understand they do not put props on them so no "load"

When you mounted the drive up and married the flex plate to the soft drive were the two plates in close proximity. As you did not have to use the bolts to draw them together ?

Have you checked to make sure the bolts that mount the flex plate are not making contact or interference with the soft drive or its hardware. That would be a very rare issue but I did encounter it once on a different brand drive.

The gear oil that Panther sold me has changed over the years. Originally they used a 200 or 250wt then they went to a red multi-viscount and my last visit to Mike he said they have a new 250Wt formula. I’m running the 250wt he sells in my Torque drive.

Where are you located ?

Located in oklahoma. Best I can tell none of the bolts are marred up, I've had it apart several times and have noticed anything of that nature. After playing with the bushings it is now married up without tension pushing or pulling for that is what I thought was causing the issue from the very beginning. I ran it over the weekend, nothing got better or worse just super annoying hearing the noise/vibration WAM WAM WAM WAM WAM and gets faster the higher you rev 😵 250wt oil
