Very nice Sunday on the river seen lots of nice boats good water and nice sand-bars. 8) lots of people barbecueing on the river and shooting the sh-t. :lol: Should be getting better if we get a cold-front to kill them darn skeeeeters for some good camping on the river. Hope to see ya'll out thier agian 8) smooth riding and watch out for the stumps and jetskis :wink: also seen some snook feeding in the deep bends and on flats . :!:
 
Rich if you do call cable Joe. It's close for us. We've been talking about camping over there.

if ya come down to the river bet ya gonna find people who live............... credence.......me an jdot ran a few time the first of the summer its pretty awsom matter of fact we went way into charlotte harbor an was heading to boca grande an got rained out but thats a nother story
 
Spend Thanksgiving on the river, 3-5 days camping w/ family in Nocatee every year. Usually can be found about halfway between Nocatee boat ramp and Lettuce Lake boat ramp. And yes it is awesome. Fall and winter months the tide change is less w/ lots of skinny water. :lol: Always a blast! For those who do not know! Do not leave vehicles @ Nocatee boat ramp overnight. Daytime use seems to be ok.Use Lettuce Lake ramp. Local trash will take or vandalize things that do not belong to them.
 
I'd like to get over to that area too--- never been there and don't know where the ramps you talked about -- what would be the best way from the Tampa area ?
 
Over Budget-- thanks --just looked it up on google and see it -- how about the Lettuce Lake ramp ?

Motor-mount :!: huuuhhhh I just noticed another CRACK in the same stringer I just fixed :x Darn Ground Pounders 8) I guess we both have some work cut out for us :lol: I think I'm gonna build a boat just for Sundays to beat the bottom off-it!!!! :twisted: CAR_BOAT 383stroker with "big" paddle-prop on a 12ft. Cotton-mouth or something......bullet-proof plexiglass on bottom :twisted:
 
There is another ramp at 769 and peace river ave.I never have had a problem at Nocatee I was there today and they had new no drinking in the park signs so I think there starting to crack down on the vandals.
 
Joe: I've never personally had any problems w/ day parking @ Nocatee. But, do know of folks who left their vehicles overnight and did. From what I know it is not a regular problem , more random. But no need to chance it. Lettuce Lake ramp from Nocatee/ continue east on 760 to 17. South on 17. 1/2 mile south of FT Ogden is CR761, go west(right) About 1 mile before 761 bridge turn left on on Lettuce lake rd. Follow signs short distance to ramp. Ramp is well lighted w/ rv parks on both side. Always someone around monitoring vehicles. From nocatee to lettuce lake about 20 minutes. hope this helps.

The Navigator Marina has a nice little restaurant/lounge for a cold drink and food too. It's a little tight navigating in the docking area but manageable and they have fuel too if you need it.
 
Is the "NaviGator Marina south of Oakatanee, about were the mangroves start on the right going south big open pass w/sand-bars? :?: :?:
 
The airboat club over here is tryin to clean up boat ramps in desoto co but we can only do so much. you know theres always a jackass somewere.
