My father Buck Lovier was, also one of the people who helped in the rescue and recovery of Flight 401. He was one of the very few people frogging on the South side of the trail that night when he saw the airliner go down in to the darkness. He got to the crash site before day break as he had to load his airboat up and relaunched to to the north side of the trail to locate to airliner. I went back with my father to the crash site along with Larry Lee right after the FAA had just pulled the wreckage out a day or two later. It was a very sad time for us all.
