I like this
m_day07_090.jpg

23 hp B&S bought for $150.00 the feller that owned this boat ran it from the ramp to the run on about a Quart of gas ,it takes me around 4.5 gallons.

thats the one ! i would love to build one of these myself i didnt look at it close i just saw it as i was getting ready to leave and he was leaving to i was curiouse about the prop n stuff is it belt drive n all that also as mentioned above speed and does it run dry?

no run dry, gets on plane in shallow water pretty good, direct drive ,3 blade wood prop,he tried a 36" 2 blade said it didn't have enough push, it runs about 24 mph flat out .

where would you get a prop like this and about what price also isnt it just a shaft the comes out of the back of those motors how does the prop mount ? also what was that thing built out of? looks like plywood.

That prop looks like it came from arrow props. They make 2,3,4,5 blade small props like that. They also sell prop flanges that mount on the shaft.

It is Arrowprop, Northwest. I put that comment on the photo in the gallery.
It's a nice prop, and it's small enough to DD. I have a new one I won't be using.
If anyone is serious about a setup like this one, PM me for a price on it.

You'll need around 25 hp to turn it.

That's a great looking little boat!!! Looks like a lot of fun and good on gas too.

and another good one for the small props is Powerfin if you want adjustable pitch composite. I've never used one but they look great for the price. People I trust (Alumitech) use them on their mini boats.

matt.

hey another idea for these minis power plants would be a jet ski engine , two cylinder between 30-95 hp but of course you would have to have a radiator then but lot more power still in the same small package/weight range
