Polk County Coon Hunters

We are considering opening a coon hunting club in Polk county. I didn't know if any one who coon hunts may be interested . We will have competition coon hunts for PKC and maybe UKC . I know we can hunt on the lake year round , but we are also trying to find other locations where we can hold these hunts. We wil need guides and judges for some of these hunts if there is any one interested in joining or helping out, I would appreciate your thoughts or ideas on getting this club going .

I would be interested.Oh,your talking about the 4 legged coons,I only hunt the 2 legged kind!

Deal, there was a gentlemen at the commission meeting last week that proposed to have coon hunting in all the management areas statewide which would be awesome for you guys. Thousands of acres with a chance of year round hunting, with just a mamangement stamp. I would get your club and everyone you know to show up at these meetings to get this pushed through. The commissioners sounded very interested in this idea. Remember bodies speeking at theses meeting get rules changed. Good luck.

Is that the FWC commission meetings where coon hunting was purposed at? Yes , James Wright is a good friend of mine , I am normally with him when he is coon hunting.

I know James also. His Chiller dog is still in the chase for the UKC world hunt. I wish him will as James is a fine young man.

James got Chiller in to UKC world chapionship hunt this weekend , his buddy Brad from AL. will be handling him. James and my self our also taking Chiller to Kentucky next month for the PKC world hunt. I believe Chiller will do good in both hunts.

Shame on you, Tony 480, you know this is a politically correct site! I love it!

Speaking of coons, is there any one out there that has some decent hounds? I would love to find a big, blue, with a melodius voice.....

I actually seen James today and he mentioned that female , I know he deffiently wants her , he said maybe next weekend he'll be able to go pick her up.

woodswoman , I work with a guy who has a registered blue tick female , she has never been trained on any thing except a few deer with other hounds. He is looking to sell her for $250 if you are interested. He says she has a loud mouth on her.
