Ok I just put a new caddy 500 on my 14ft combee and now for some reason it porposes really bad. Before it wouldnt and now with the new engine and same mounts and same prop it hops really bad. What could cause this and any suggestions to a possible quick fix.. Thanks

so are you saying you ran this set up before with a caddy. It ran great n(NO PORPOSING) then you put another caddy on itand it porposes?
If all above is true then you need to lower the back of your engine down, sounds like the engine is not shimmed the same as the other!

Yea different caddy 500 but the 1st one didnt porpose! Im wondering how much I should lower the motor...Im using the same motor mounts and rubber bushings?? Just is weird.I cant drive the boat unless I have a 180lb person in front...I could drive by myself before..

Did the hull sit in the sun on uneven ground in between motors? could have the bottom a little out? try the motor first. Quarter bubble down in the back then put a jack in it. good luck you will get it!

Its reallly hard to say how much, but I would see how long your bolts are, if you need to pick up some longer bolts and a stack of washers.
I would put a couple in and take it to the river, have extra washers and bolts and tools. Try it and add or delete washers until it stops porposing and the boat aint riding on the nose also. A decent spot for the spray coming out of the sides of your boat is around the headers or a little further back.
Sure is aggravating
