We received a call today from a man in Plant City that he may have seen the General Lee. Please be on the look out. It was at the corner of Sam Allen and Park Road between 11:30 and 12:00 today. The stickers and rebel flag had been peeled off. But everything else seemed to be in tact. It was being pulled by a green or grey chevrolet, at least a club cab, heading towards the interstate. If anyone was in that area and saw anything please call us immediately and let us know. Our home number is 352-793-6476. Thanks again for all of your help. Diane Vann.
 
we need someone to pull some strings and activate the amber alert or try and get this picture on tv as soon as possible I took the picture posted and would be glad to e-mail it to you just pm me .it was a hot boat and I just loved the enthusiasom that driver had in that picture.lets catch this thief
 
I agree. Unfortunantly we have already contacted the news stations and they don't want nothing to do with it. It has been on the radio up here. We really appreciate all that you guys are doing for us and we are praying that we get this boat back. It is like a part of our family. Thanks, Diane.
 
what if we could post a printable flier with a picture of the boat ,contact info, stickers may have been removed or any other special things to look for with a reward that members all over could print a few and post them at the local fish camps and landings

croc1 - I liked that alert idea. I've added a "Southern Airboat Alert" across the top of all pages execpt the Store. I think I'll try to do the same with AirboatDirectory.com also.

I live about 5 to 7 miles from that intersection. I'm on duty tommorow @ the Fire Dept that covers close to that area. I will keep my eyes peeled when we run calls and look around peoples property when we go to a call. I can also talk to a few Hillsborough Co. Deputies and Plant City Police and let them know what to be on the lookout for. Park Rd and Sam Allen is where Plant City limits end and Hillsborough County coverage picks up. What law enforcement agencies have you notified so far?? Whoever has the pic of the General Lee email it to me so I can print it off and give copies out tommorow. JL
 
We have contacted the Sumter sheriff's office because we live in Sumter county and they have the initial report. We know that Citrus county has the info and the FHP. However, we received a call today from the Plant City Police Department that told us their airboat was stolen last night. We have tried to contact as many people as possible. well that should get the tv news and the paper involved hopefully they will show yours as well with all of the airboats around they sure chose 2 high profile boats
 
It's probably already hit the airboat chop shop.

Might want to Give Jurnigan's a call. Their shop is right at Park and I-4 in Plant City. Give them a heads up to be on the look out for anyone looking to sell parts that match the ones that were stolen.
 
Allen talked to Junior the first day that it was stolen, but thanks for the info. And just to vent and let off some steam, because the shock stage is over and now the really angry stage is here. Eventually someone will talk and we will find out. What the scum bags who took it don't know is that every inch of that boat was marked with different markings that just to look at it you wouldn't know. There is not a part on the boat that they could sell that would be free of one. The motor was all custom and when Allen had it apart he marked all of the parts. Even if the parts were sold separately he could tell if they were his just by looking. I hope that they try to sell something that will lead us closer to them. And to stay on my soap box, I realize that a stolen airboat is not that important to the police department (I can't even get the detective on the case to call us), but we will never let this rest until we know. And UncleBubba just to let you know I already have the placed picked in the swamp!!!! :x
 
I'm very sorry for your loss. I know what it fills like to put your all of heart,swet,blood,and soul in to something then some lowrent son of b@#&h stills it. I have told everyone I know to be on the look out I've even gave the ones that don't have a computer a pic. of your boat. I hope you get your hands on the dirt bags!
