POWER SHIFT

Does anyone know if Water Walker are standing behind the older Power shift prop? I have a wide blade Maximus that has only 5hr on it and one of the blades has a suspicious looking crack if that what it is. I was told by Diamond back that would know by Monday. I told that I would trade the 80" prop for a 78" three blade falcon. Anybody can give their experiences on the matter. Thanks

I have been following all post. Just wondering what is the updated conclusion on what happening with Water Walker.

where is the crack?
Does it look more like a scratch?
I'm asking because I have something odd looking, since I waxed my
Power Plus blades.

I am currently running a Powershift Falcon 3 blade 80" on my boat behind a Thunder LS1. I have had no problem with the push of the prop, and inspect it regularly. I am a little concerned with all the Powershift stories I am hearing. Does the problem seem to be isolated with the wider blades, or has anyone heard of any mishaps with the Power Plus or Falcons?

my prop was a 3 blade sirius 80", traded it in for a 3 blade falcon, wasn't happy then a 4 blade falcon and still not happy. it pushes ok but is so much louder than the sirius, thats why i want to goto a sensenich wide blade, my boat was set up for the wide blade powershift, just trying to get back to what i had. so now i have a 4blade prop and a 3 blade hub, time to liquidate some stuff

what happened to the honest post about all the blown up boats at diamondback and american airboat with powershift explosions? Cant the truth be told? Charles

Charles, we are now edited, and my post wasn't durogatory. It was actually supportive of the manufacturer.

Edited about what? The truth. I wasnt talking about american airboat or diamondback---I was talking abot powershoft anf and its succesor C.

I have been censored for posting the Air Ranger with the blown up Sirius, Had members ask to post the pic and did so and am being punished, all my personal pics were erased from my gallery but one. Was actually considering being a sponsor to this site... Calm Seas.. Capt. Scott Hickman http://www.circleh.org

I actually bought one of there first props back when and the leading edges delamated, Was a real pain to deal with David Wine vowed to never do buisness with them again and have not there are to many good props available now. Calm Seas...

Hey Guys dont freak out, I think a bunch of the threads got messed up. I dont think anything was censored. Look around and you will see there was some site problems. Rick will get it all fixed up.

FARON: As an OEM Manufacturer, I'm wondering when you'll share your opinion on Powershift. Surely American Airboats isn't using these props anymore. You must know about all the boats that have been destroyed....I am hearing about a wealthy Texan who is cueing up a significant lawsuit against these folks even as we speak, stemming almost entirely from how he was treated by the Coloradans after his boat was destroyed.

Give us your take.................

Dear Shadwgrass,
I would suggest that anyone with concerns to call their boat builder or contact Powershift/WW direct. I do not want to make any public accusations that could be used against me. I have my own opinion but feel that it is better to let this sittuation be handled properly.
I have seen pictures of several brands of boats with the same problem.
That is all I can really say at this time.

Come on Faron, You are a Airboat Mfg and we look to you for your opinion. I do not see any other Mfg's that have the Balls to get on here and discuss the issues at hand. You deal with this stuff every day and I think your opinon matters to many poeple on this site. If something is junk just say so. If it performs just say so. What prop do you run on your personal boat ??

Fulldeck, I don't think it is farons job to let everyone know. Do your own homework like I am going to do. We have the ability to research this on our own and make our own decisions. Personal experiences are fine to describe.

I'm with you guys Mood. Faron is showing a great deal of restraint and from where I stand there is a legal difference between a user providing a personal opinion and an industry leader or provider providing a personal opinion. If I am not mistaken the leaders are held to a much higher sytandard than others and the line between their PERSONAL opinion and Corporate opinion blurrs significantly. Simply because they are in a position to know people will listen to their opinion sooner than a users or consumers. That just in itself raises the bar or standard under the law.

Faron and his family have worked incredibly hard for a lot of years to get their business to where it is today. It wasnt always so good but they stuck it out. They have a highly regarded reputaiton now and that is to be protected.

Faron is doing the right thing and I respect him for it. As a consumer I don't need to be told what to think or really care much what others think, I make up my own mind from documented events. Now asking if this or that will work isn't the same as asking a man to jeopardise his business by offering an opinion which could be inferred as fact and then him being sued over it.

Just MY thoughts, you, of course, are welcome to your own.

Scotty

You should not have to, and it's not fair of someone to demand it of you.

Thanks for being here with us Faron. You've got balls for sure. It's stuff like this why other mfgrs don't have the balls to be here and join our group as you do so openly.

Excellent comments Rich. I have a wood prop and am following this with great interest. When I upgrade, I know which prop I'm not going to buy. The point is made with me.

I feel bad for all those who are going thru buyer's remorse. That's never a good feeling. And reinforces my theory about the anti-airboaters.... Buyer's remorse causes one to act a little hot-headed sometimes. It's understandable.

Patience is good medicine right now. All this is working out, but nothing is going to happen immediately. It's a slow process. Things will work out about the time you've saved up enough money to buy a different brand prop. :(

Sorry Whitebear & Cowboy..... I deleted my original comments.... I guess while you were writing yours. Yes Cowboy - the moderator comments bothered me as well. It was not an attack on the moderators... I was just pointing out what was told to me once by Jim.... When a topic becomes overly "heated" it will be yanked. I personally feel that this is important information, and would hate to see it degrade into a fight.

Loco - if you upload that photo again, I'll help you out with getting it here. It sucks that there was a technical S.N.A.F.U. where a day and a half's posts got deleted. It's obvious to me that it was not the moderators doing.

It's also sad that this ordeal may knock PS/WW out of business. Could that happen? That fear has many powershift owners a little extra angry right now. Be strong. And I truly hope they work it out and come back stronger than ever - with a product that kicks butt!!!!

matt.

(edited for typo & grammar errors - geez my typing sux at times!!!)
