thinking of buying a new predator but I'm up in the air about it have heard good and bad things about them but really like the way they look. and seen on that was pretty fast over the weekend at some races on halfway lake. but have heard that they have problems just wondering what everyone else thinks before I screw up. would like a nice hunt boat but want to go fast at the same time. thanx for all the info
 
THEY ARE VERY NICE BOATS AND THEY ARE ALSO VERY HEAVY BOATS BUT MADE TO TAKE A BEATING IVE NOTICED THEY ARE REAL THIN IN THE FRONT AREAS OF THE BOAT EVER TIME I INSTALL POLYMER ON THEM THERES HARLEY NOTHING THEIR WHEN THE HULL IS UP SIDE DOWN LOOKING INSIDE THE BOW U CAN SEE RIGHT THREW IT THATS NO SOO GOOD IF U ASK ME AND THEIR ALL LIKE THATS FROM WHAT IVE SEE BUT THEY ARE 1 HELL OF A HULL
 
Check out Jimmy whites Marsh Masters choice hulls before make a decision! Come to the new years race and ride on Lochloosa and will put you on a few of them.
 
Dead isn't the word for it....it's toast... the whole bottom fell out of it DELAMINATED and was running water all day...don't know if it was just that one or if there all like that but I know that one isn't going to run anywhere anymore...
 
i think i seen that same boat ,he was kickin some tail until disaster set in .my OPINION is if you are one of bjs buddies you MIGHT get something worth runnin,but if not you may get aP.O.S. hull.
 
I've seen and run some really nice Predator Hulls. I kinda see them as stiffer Cottonmouths that are lighter with some other design changes here and there that really sets the two apart side buy side. I haven't had any of my friends tell me of any problems with theirs but they all have known Bobby for years but I'm not sure I buy the argument that he only builds good stuff for his friends..........

I've had a Predator for over 2 years with no issues, other then thoes that were self inflicted. go and talk to Bobby like i did get your queations answered form him and make your decision. good luck in your hunt for the perfect hull we have all been there.
 
ive never had a predator but my nefhew had one and ive driven it its a strong 180 and it seemed like a good hull to me but what do i know , there sure is a lot of em riding kiss. they all cant be stupid people, i nerver type any thing on this sight i wont say to a mans face, need to be careful when ya mess with a mans ways an means of makin a livin, maybe the golden rule should apply here.
 
I started out with a used Cotton Mouth, served me well but since it was used I wanted a brand new hull. Got a Predator hull just over 13 ft from Bobby, heavy but strong, has also served me well, like a greyhound it is nimble and must be driven as such. Would not hesitate in having either one, many friends of my use them, some swear by the hulls Sr makes others by the ones Jr makes, both have a place on the marsh. These are the ones I have personally driven, many other types exist and it boils down to personal learned preferences of the individual. I have never heard of a hull maker intentionally making substandard hulls.

hey yall, that boat that robert has was by no means a regular hull that Bobby makes. it was made to race only! but the boat was driven in the marsh and hunted out of, thats why it came apart, and if anyone says different, then they dont know there ass from a whole in the wall. So dont think he doesnt build good hulls b/c of the one he made there, trust me there is a big story behind it. i have onwed 3 predators. the one i have know is the best hull i have ever driven in my life. it floats like a cork, and turns on dime, and they have a stright bottom in them! he has all new molds he built recentley b/c he took the things he didnt like out of it. im sure this message will make someone mad again, but who cares, its the truth. Like plum said, everyone cant be stupid, kississimme is full of predators, and if they wernt a good boat he wouldnt be 10-15 out right now. check the new airboat mag. out, they came to his shop and did and article with him. his number is 863-557-0098.... trust, you cant go wrong with one of his boats!

:lol: thanks plum... i didnt write that message to make anyone mad, i just know that the people who seen roberts boat came apart must think that his boats are junk, and thats not the case. If everyone knew the story behind it, then they would think different. Yes bobby is my friend and he has never done me wrong, but if you think he builds only good boats for his friends, then why is the other hundreds he build still together?
 
just history repeating itself, 35 year ago a friend of mine had a guy talk him into laying up a hull light as a feather to race then he beat the hell out of it all huntin season an when it failed all he did was bitch to everyone who would listen
