Prop Damage

crabby

Well-known member
I had a fiberglass weather cover that was covering my carburater and distributor come loose the other day when I was running, it put a dent on the metal edge of my wood prop the size of a nickel, my question is how much more damage will this do to the prop by running it this way or should I pull it off and have it repaired. this was a brand new prop from sensenich

If it didn't split the wood I wouldn't be afraid to run it with the dent. The metal edge is put on to do just what it did - protect the wood. You can pound the dent out and live with it or send it in for repair.

Thanks that's what i thought also sensenich told me to check the fasteners on the metal and as long as they weren't loose i wood be fine, good that it happened been looking for an excuse to buy a Q series I think it's time should of done that in the first place, live and learn

You won't regret it

I just sold my Q and am running a 70-32 paddle right now...hate it!!!! Got to turn about 400 more RPM to break loose on the ground and MAN is it loud. And I wear ear plugs!

Hey Red, why did you sell your Q ? I want a new prop so bad I can taste it, but I need to save the money up first. I am currently running a sensenich kevlar tip 70x34 stick prop and I don't think I like it too much. It works but theres gotta be something better.
