prop for o-540

I have a friend who is putting together a lycoming o-540 angle valve motor should be 300 h.p. he is putting it in a 12 ft. ultra-lite diamond-back hull he is looking on some advice on a prop for this outfit he has no need for speed he wants maxium push thanks in advance for your help.

Power shift props are great. A three blade on a angle valve works great. The two blade does good, but the three blade pushes harder, but you cannot wind it up as fast.

Sensenich 3 blades are great as well. Cannot say which one is better.

A friend of mine runs an angle valve 540 on a 12' deckover, and he swears by his 74" 2 blade powershift signature series. His boat will turn 3000rpm wide open but will run through the thickest grass we could find during hunting season with 2 people and loaded without having to turn over 1900rpm. If your friend wants max push that is the prop I would recommend.

I run a 5 blade warp drive a lot of push but noise.

WallyGator What kind of boat do you run? I am in need of a prop and considering a warp drive. I have a barge 18 x 8 airgator 455olds direct drive with a 72x 38 wood. Shes a heavy boat and I usually have her pretty well loaded, with a couple of passengers. We use it for hunting. Not looking to run dry of course, but some bottom end push is what we're looking for. Called warp drive prop company and they recommended a 4 blade 72". Would really appreciate some input/ or suggestions. Don't see any airboats up here, to do any comparisions. We have talked about making a road trip down to the south to test some props, so If we do decide to make the trip, I'll post it and hope some of you have the time to give us some demonstrations. That would be a BLAST.

Thanks in Advance
