What size /gage tubing should I use, and how much clearance from the prop should I have.

what material are you using? I have seen it as small as 1/2" up to 1" for steel not sure what size they use for aluminum. I used 5/8 DOM on mine but I see alot of boats with 3/4". Someone else will probably chime i here but I was told at least 3" clearance for the prop.

I will use mild steel. I know some people on here mentioned making the engine stand out of 16 gage. That seems thin.
