prop maintenance

I would like to know how you guys take care of your props? These props are a big investment so I would like to get the most hours out of it as I can. When do you normaly send them in to get worked? How do you clean it, what do you use? If you wax it what type of wax works best? When you store your boat how do you position your prop? Back in my DD days we put the wood props horizontal so moisture would not settle in one end, but is there a correct way to set your 4B?

clean it with some soapy water or 409 use a automotive paste wax dont use liquid waxes

you have a 4 blade dont think it matters

I use 409 and paste wax.
The liquid was don't last very long at all.
Paste wax takes some time and elbow grease, but it holds up good.

The instructions that came with my Sensenich prop said use paste wax not liquid wax so thats what I do. What did the instructions say that came with your prop say to use?

What kind of paste wax, anyone got a name brand they have been using and having good luck with?
